Minted Vintage Market 2021 Recap
I’ve struggled to find words to adequately describe how we feel right now. Thank you doesn’t feel like enough, but gratitude is what we feel deep down in our hearts.
I remember at one point sitting down for a bite to eat last Saturday and was brought to tears as I watched all around me. There was so. much. joy. I saw families, friends, strangers, all enjoying a gorgeous day making memories after a couple of extremely challenging years. It was literally a breath of fresh air, that I very much needed. Maybe you did, too.
Everything you saw at Minted Vintage Market was because of a local small business. The floral displays were created by the talented Wildroot Flower Co Crew. The vintage truck was borrowed from J&T Cutting Boards. The pumpkins were purchased from Butcher Family Farm and the mums from Scot’s Landscaping. The tables/chairs, boxwood wall and barrels from Michelle’s Event Design. Just Wright BBQ catered lunch for our vendors. Life Maid Easy was a sponsor and provided cleaning services through out the day. The fun market vibe was by local DJ, Dan Lyons and beautiful snapsots of the day by Lori Pickens Photography.
It’s humbling to be a part of something like this.
John and I don’t for a second believe that this is all because of us. We know God has blessed us with the very best village; family, friends, and church family who are ready to help (as exhausting as it is) with anything that we need before, during, and after the big day. Saying we are grateful for our Market Crew is an understatement. A lot of what they do goes unseen, but the day runs smoothly because of them.
We are also thankful for a wonderful team of creatives. Our makers, artisans, curators, pickers, and repurposers work hard all year long for events like this. It brings them joy to see you excited about something they had a hand in creating! Many vendors rely on events like ours as part of their income. As you might imagine the last couple of years have been disheartening for them in many ways. Saturday was an encouragement that brighter days are ahead. (and they are!)
And last but certainly not least, we are grateful to live in the MOV -surrounded by a community that shows up year after year with nothing but kind words and support. Our local vendors know how awesome you are, but what’s really fun is when our out of town vendors meet you for the first time. They always let us know just how wonderful this community is. (and you are!)
Thank you for loving on us and on all the small shops that make up Minted Vintage Market. We are grateful to you and will always strive to bring you the best market possible!
We hope you had a wonderful day, soaked in that beautiful sunshine, took lots of fun photos, filled your bellies with good eats, reconnected with someone you haven’t seen for a while, discovered a new favorite small shop, and so much more.
We’ll see you in 2022! Stay well, friends.
